Revolver Wines is a new brand entering the busy South Australian wine market, with a distinct point of difference. Winemaker Daniel Zuzolo was seeking to approach the wine industry from a different perspective. Working as a contract winemaker, gives access to a wide variety of small batch fruit from all over South Australia, to select high quality and interesting parcels of fruit, without the need for the overhead of his own vineyard or winery. The name Revolver highlights the ‘revolving door’ of different wines which will become the hallmark of the brand. Toolbox was engaged to create a brand and packaging which reflects this constant evolution and rotation of product with a simple, but strong shelf presence. The Revolving of letters within the typography of the brand was an elegant way to highlight the visual nature of the word, which then comes to life in websites and digital media to rotate and evolve. The packaging solution utilises a constantly changing colour palette, which responds to the wine and highlights the fact that no two are the same. The brand launched in February and is available for tasting at the Prohibition Tasting Room in Gilbert Street.
