Prohibition Bathtub Cut Gin
In 2016 Toolbox created the second gin package for Prohibition Liquor – the now infamous Bathtub Cut Gin. At 69% ABV it is still the strongest gin in the Southern Hemisphere and a cult classic across Australasia. The playful bathtub icon and the graphic visuals of botanicals was ahead of its time and still used at massive scale at gin festivals across Australia. The back label follows the same form as it’s Prohibition gin predecessors: a modernised take on a traditional liquor prescription – complete with handwritten script, reflecting the true spirit of the Prohibition era.
This packaging landed us a finalist in the 2017 AGDA Design Awards, and Gold for the 2017 International Wine & Spirit Competition quality award for packaging.
