Payinthi Building Entry Signage
Toolbox was engaged by the City of Prospect again in late 2020 to design entry signage for their new Payinthi building, located at the core of the city’s Village Heart Precinct, where the Council’s community hub, library and gallery reside. The signage marks the importance of the building and its Aboriginal name heritage; Payinthi, meaning ‘good prospects’ in Kuarna language.
The final six-metre high structure features contemporary materials, clever illumination and uses dots as a visual motif – used throughout Aboriginal cultures to draw paths, tell stories and create patterns.
