Bootleg Craft Spirits
The coffee liqueur market remains relatively unexplored. That is, until Prohibition Liquor Co got their hands on Natural Ethiopian and washed Columbian beans and made this botanical drop. This has been a staple in perhaps a few too many of our Friday morning coffees, and we’re hooked.
As Prohibition continues to grow in the spirits market, we helped the team develop a new brand extension to explore more vibrant flavour expressions and introduce a new suite of spirits outside of their traditional product range. This was affectionately called Bootleg Craft Spirits – a nod to ‘Bootlegger’, the term adopted for the trade of alcohol during the Prohibition period.
We wanted this new brand to honour the historic look and feel in Prohibition’s brand with a fresh and contemporary twist. We took inspiration from the hand generated typography of the era to develop the ‘B’ brand mark. Overall, this brand system offers a scalable packaging solution that will grow with each new product release.
